Good governance and financial responsibility are at the core of the Ashcroft Indian Band operations. The Band’s books are audited annually and the Band maintains excellent working relationships with the financial institutions that have supported and believed in its efforts to build a viable future.
Several years ago, Nlaka’pamux Trust Fund was established by a group of eight bands in region, including the Ashcroft Indian Band. Wealth generated from the fund’s investment strategy is available to assist those seven First Nations communities with approved projects represents a firm commitment to improving the lives of First Nations people.
No one band or one chief can spend all the money at once. It’s a legacy trust meant to last for generations to come.
