Health Centre
The Health Centre was opened in 2009. It’s a community anchor place with full time staff and a Community Health Nurse on site several times a week.
It offers vaccinations, help for new mothers, arranges home-care for seniors, provides dietary counselling for people living with diabetes, sets up post-operative care and much more.
Absolute privacy is guaranteed for all persons who come to the Centre with health or medical inquiries.
Our Resilience Manager offers client-centered care to help build resiliency within the community.
Trauma and addiction counselling is provided.
Social work values and ethics are demonstrated while respecting cultural diversity of all people in a professional confidential manner.
It also offers everything from computer training, to first aid and food safe courses, hunter safety, rattle making and pine needle basket weaving workshops, as well as reflexology, spa days and weekly luncheons, special events for elders and day trips for the kids.
